Tony began working with Public Domain works almost by accident in 1987 while working as General Manager of the commercial printing company. An afternoon trip to the dumpster revealed stacks of old photographs that had been discarded by one of the company owners. Tony dug the photographs out of the trash and Used them as masters to create reproductions. Later, thanks to a local patron, he also gained access to several old, local maps, which he reproduced as well. The photograph and map reproductions became his new product line, which he sold at the eBay of the day the local flea market in Smithville, NJ. The photographs and maps sold like crazy and resulted in thousands of dollars in extra income. Tony was hooked on the Public Domain.

More recently, Tony moved his success with Public Domain works online. Drawing on past experience, Tony has successfully sold many types of Public Domain-based products; from selling print and digital books in multiple niches, to creating Public Domain-based digital and physical products for sale on eBay and through other online and offline venues.

He enjoys the treasure hunt of the Public Domain as well as helping others discover and develop valuable Public Domain works in this vast opportunity for Product Creation.

Professional Career:
Tony Laidig began his professional career as a commercial photographer where he specialized in large-format photography for museums, theaters, hotels and yacht manufacturers. After managing a top commercial printing company in Southern New Jersey he then began work as a graphic designer in the Publishing Industry. He has designed over 500 recognized book, magazine, video and CD covers!

Tony has been privileged to create book designs for Christian leaders, including T.D. Jakes, Myles Munroe and Tommy Tenney, as well as for business and marketing leaders, including, Jim Edwards, Alex Mandossian, Dan Lok, Jill Lublin and others. Tony has now turned his design talents and skills toward creating his own information products, his first product being his "Public Domain Code Book."
