Affiliate links on eBay? Oh Yeah!!
Affiliate marketing is very popular, but many people make a basic mistake that costs them hundreds or even thousands. Most of the time when you have an affiliate link you are trying to promote it is a long ugly link. Typically they look like this: www.Widget-Site-You-Are-Promoting.com/blah/blah/YourAffiliateID ...long and ugly. Wouldn't it be better if your affiliate link looked like this: It's easy to do and you don't need a website - just a domain name. The best way I've found to mask links is to buy an inexpensive domain name from godaddy.com or any other cheap domain provider. You can then use domain forwarding to point your new domain name at your affiliate link. You can get hundreds of affiliate links free from places like cj.com or clickbank.com. I've got a video that shows you step by step how to do this that I just posted on the resource page for all readers of my book "The Silent Sales Machine Hiding on eBay". Who gets access to the resource page? Anyone who buys (or has ever bought) my best seller at: ***The link to the resource page can be found in the book, Silent Sales Machine, directly after the table of contents*** Once you have your "pretty" affiliate link you need to get traffic in order to make affiliate commissions. One great way to get traffic is your eBay auctions! You can't insert your affiliate link DIRECTLY into your auctions, but there are some "stealth" tactics you can use that don't violate eBay policy! One of my favorite is to set up an email address through godaddy.com and make that the email address that you use in your auctions! For example, if I mention the email address "Jim@BestWidgets.com" in my eBay auctions I'm going to get good targeted traffic to my BestWidgets.com site from curious shoppers interested in Widgets! I can also take it a step further and set up an email autoresponder that replies to everyone who sends an email to "Jim@BestWidgets.com" with an automated answer AND an invitation to join my newsletter. Here's what I now have: -Cheap or free targeted traffic -A beautiful affiliate link earning affiliate commissions -A growing a targeted mailing list -NO website required TIP: Currently there is no policy on eBay U.S. that prohibits the use of links within your classified ad. In that case just put your link right in the ad itself! Isn't eBay beautiful?!
